March 2011 – Present: DA NANG CLIMATE CHANGE COORDINATION OFFICE (CCCO). Da Nang is a state city in Vietnam. It is located and as a dynamic city in the center of Vietnam (website: www.danang.gov.vn). According to my experiences, knowledge on climate change and environment and my willingness, in March, 2011, Director of Da Nang Deparment of Natural resources and Environment (DONRE) assigned me to work for Da Nang CCCO. Da Nang CCCO is a Da Nang’s government agency and plays as permanent advice office for Da Nang city Steering Committee for Response to Climate Change (website: www.ccco.danang.gov.vn). Positions held:

- Consultant/Specialist/Assistant in Climate change sectors.

  • ADB, 2013-2014: Technical assistant for implementing the National target program on climate change – focus on mitigation for energy and transportation (TA-7779).
  • Rockefeller Foundation/ACCCRN, 2014-2016: Study heat stress impacts on workers.
  • ADB-ISET, 2015: Study on Land use planning under the context of climate change.
  • ADB-ISET, 2015-2016: Study on Replication of Storm resistant houses models.
  • Rockefeller Foundation/ACCCRN, 2015-2016: National Engagement for Climate change activities in 3 ACCCRN’s Vietnam’s cities.

- Coordinator of climate change projects implemented in Da Nang city.

  • Rockefeller Foundation/ACCCRN, 2011-2013: Support for operation of Climate Change Coordination Office – Da Nang city
  • AFD, 2013-2014: Technical assistant for implementing the climate change action plan in Da Nang city – focus on mitigation for buildings in urban area (DaCliMB).
  • UNIDO, 2013-2014: Peer Review the ASEAN Eco-cities program (Eco-cities).

- Coordinator of climate change propaganda for Da Nang city.

- Editor for CCCO’s website (both in Vietnamese and English).

- Co-coordinator “the foreign climate change relationship programs” among CCCO and ISET, UNIDO, AFD, ADB, SNV, GIZ, Asian/European cities...

September 2007 – March 2011: Da Nang DONRE. DONRE is a Da Nang’s government department under the authority of Da Nang People’s Committee’s and under the professional management of Vietnam Ministry of Natural resources and Environment (MONRE). DONRE is responsible to manage the environment sector (mainland and islands/seas, pollution control, climate change), land using/planning, minerals and water sources (website: www.tnmt.danang.gov.vn). Positions held:

- Specialist in climate change/environmental sectors.

- Assistant for environmental/climate change project managers who are (Vice) – Directors of DONRE.

- Coordinator of “the stakeholders’ environmental programs” for 7 political-social mass organisations (Father front committee, women union, labour union, farmer union, veteran union, youth union, technology and science association).

- Coordinator “the environmental propaganda programs” for 7 districts, 56 wards, students/teachers, residents.

- Co-coordinator “the foreign environmental relationship programs” among DONRE and CIDA, UNDP, PEMSEA, JICA, AFD, ADB, World Bank, KOICA, GIZ, Kyoto University, Asian/European cities ...
